Ben Watt releases his anticipated new solo album Storm Damage, following a prodigious career of offerings.
Ben Watt is a musician, singer-songwriter, DJ and writer. He released his first EP Summer Into Winter in 1982, collaborating with Robert Wyatt. In 1983 his debut album, North Marine Drive reached the UK Independent Albums Chart Top 10. He then spent the next seventeen years with Tracey Thorn in best-selling duo Everything But The Girl. He survived a rare life-threatening illness in 1992 - the subject of his first memoir Patient in 1996.
In 2013 - after ten years as a DJ, remixer, BBC radio presenter and head of Buzzin' Fly, the award-winning electronic label he founded in 2003 - he changed direction to return to the solo career he put on hold thirty-one years earlier. Since then he has written and released further acclaimed albums, the award-winning Hendra and Fever Dream and a second prize-nominated memoir, Romany and Tom.
