Swedish trombone player Christian Lindberg joins the Taipei Chinese Orchestra on this imaginative and unique programme of music for trombone and Chinese orchestra. Lindberg also composed a work directly for the orchestra, The Wild Rose, inspired by the poetic sounds of the Chinese instruments into writing what he describes himself as "a quite sad little fairy tale." Another Lindberg original piece, Kundraan, was originally composed for trombone and chamber orchestra but was rearranged for this recording. The remaining works here are by eminent Taiwanese composer Yiu-Kwong Chung.
