The St Catharine’s College Choir and St Catharine’s Girls’ Choir come together on this stunning and evocative collection of contemporary Christmas carols, featuring premieres from such composers as Richard Rodney Bennett, Roxanna Panufnik, Cecilia McDowall and John Tavener. Also included are works written especially for the Girls' Choir by Stevie Wishart and Christopher Fox. St Catharine's can boast of having the first and only college-based girls’ choir in the UK, along with its own beautiful chapel in the very heart of Cambridge, providing the venue for this recording.
