"Four Stars ... Lezhneva’s bell-like soprano is one of the most exciting emerging voices around and she doesn’t disappoint in this recital ... surely no instrumentalist’s fingers can move faster than Lezhneva’s vocal cords ... there is lots to admire here but also lots to love."
- The Guardian

Young soprano Julia Lezhneva returns to virtuosic Baroque music on this recital album, encompassing the best of Handel’s operatic and religious works from his early years, including the operas Rodrigo and Agrippina, as well as the complete Salve Regina and soprano solo from Dixit Dominus. Recorded when she was 25, she proves to be ideally suited to the soprano arias of the young Handel and has found the perfect partners for this repertoire in Italian period instrument orchestra Il Giardino Armonico led by Giovanni Antonini.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
