"The title of this album, Chroma, is also that of my Concerto in 3 movements for piano and chamber orchestra. It means 'color' in ancient Greek. The main theme of this work constantly reappears, obsessionally, but each time transformed by different colors. It is harmony with the rest of the album: 'Syn-phone' (etymology of symphony "a marriage of sounds" in ancient Greek) or 'Celestial Apparitions' – a quintet for piano and a string quartet, but also 'Exordes', Chinese shadow show and 'Illusions', solo piano pieces. I decided to be the principal interpreter of this recording in order to be at the heart of the creation, like a painter, being one with the auditor and the author, as close as possible of my deepest emotions... All this recording is turned towards optical illusions transcended in musique, creating an enlightenned feedback."
