This programme contains three cantatas dating from 1714, when he was responsible for composing sacred vocal music, including cantatas for Sundays and feast days. Bach himself performed all three works collected on this double album set several times. They are presented here as they would have been heard in 1714, in a way that Bach would have recognized, by artists respected in the early music field.
