"... Hunter mixes sounds of both sides of the pond on this record ... If That Doesn’t Tell You will get any toes tapping ... Something’s Calling is a throwback to the sounds of Tony Bennett and Stranded calls to mind some of the soul records of the ‘60s."
- The Washington Times

Grammy-nominated British R&B musician James Hunter and his band recorded Hold On! in Los Angeles live to eight track tape in order to best capture the buoyant energy of their live shows. These songs feature the crackerjack arrangements and tough soulful pulse for which the group has become famous, although the true treasures may lie in the deeper grooves. Rumbas, boleros, bossa novas and easy rockers, each one swinging more than the last, figure prominently; this is a set of forever songs crafted with immaculate care and ingenuity, sung with an effortless balance of tenderness and grit.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
