Queen's debut album, while not a huge success at the time, hinted at things to come in terms of songwriting and studio production. The single Keep Yourself Alive never charted but went on to become a Queen signature, earning a position at number 31 on a list of the 100 greatest guitar songs of all time according to Rolling Stone, which stated the tune featured "overdubbed guitars crying out in unison ... an entire album's worth of riffs crammed into a single song."
