After two years since his last release, the guitarist from Malaga Daniel Casares bursts into the flamenco scene once again with his eighth work, Guitarrísimo, undoubtedly the most intimate, personal and refined delivery of his acclaimed career. It is a set of unreleased compositions, completely free from the arrangements and instrumental garments that characterized his previous albums.
Casares retreated for months in front of the sea in Estepona, a coastal city close to his hometown, in order to return to his origins: to the pure sound of a sounding board and the old beats of his childhood. The result is a work that shows maturity, through which for the first time the artist shows us his music in a state of total nudity, with minimal concessions to the beat of the palms and the jaleos of the celebrated duo formed by Cadiz’s Carlos Grilo and Diego Montoya.
