This is the fifth and final volume in a survey of orchestral works by Polish composer Witold Lutosławski. Featuring the BBC Symphony Orchestra under Edward Gardner, this album includes music spanning the composer's entire career from the Symphony No.1 to the famous Partita for violin and orchestra, a piece showcasing violinist Tasmin Little. Another acclaimed guest, clarinetist Michael Collins, appears on the Dance Preludes.
