Marie-Pierre Arthur is now releasing her fourth album Des feux pour voir on Simone Records, the culmination of more than two years of work. Produced by a trio of François Lafontaine, Samuel Joly and Marie-Pierre herself, it is a plural and dense album, each song unpacking a particular universe. An elegant but cunning work whose pulse you can always feel, transmitting a contagious urgency. Des feux pour voir is bursting with talent from the first to the last song. Here are some of the many friends and exceptional musicians who have joined the project: Nicolas Basque, Joe Grass, Robbie Kuster, Olivier Langevin, Erika Angell, Lisa Moore, Brad Barr, Gaële, Laurence Nerbonne, Émilie Laforest and Louis- Jean-Cormier. Pierre Girard, in the sound recording and in the mix, ties everything together with so much finesse, so much inspiration that we would like to include him also on the list of musicians. The result is a rich sound, a frame full of relief which is rediscovered with each listening.
