Louis-Jean Cormier releases Quand la nuit tombe, five years after the release of the album Les grandes arères. Between the two releases came tours, a sabbatical, trips and a piano that has been dusted off to the point of becoming the heart of this third solo album. A new musical adventure is therefore taking shape, broadening the sonic horizons of the songwriter.
If there is no guitar on the 10 songs, the rock spirit is however never very far, led by the vocal surges of Louis-Jean, the energy of the faithful collaborators Alex McMahon (synthesizers and drums), Marc-André Larocque (drums and percussions) and Guillaume Chartrain (bass and synthesizers), as well as by François Lafontaine's “ugly keyboards” (Karkwa).
