Our debut album, Sugarbowl, was mixed by the certified multi-platinum and Grammy Award winning, Sylvia Massy. Shadow and The Thrill’s future is largely dictated by the past of the two men behind the band. Tony, as a Grammy nominated (Great White), certified multi-platinum Billboard charting writer and musician,
and Brentt, as a tireless and sought-after touring and session drummer and producer,
have created an album experience that rivals their iconic rock and pop influences.
Sugarbowl is a diverse mix of songs, which thematically tell a set of stories, which are universally recognizable. The lyrics reveal the trials and struggles every relationship endures as it crumbles. The heartache, the anguish, and the determination to move forward are captured song after song through the incredibly versatile lead vocals and masterful guitar work of Tony Cardenas-Montana, accompanied by soulful sounds of Brentt James Arcement's B3 playing and slinky, sensual drum grooves.
