Jazz harmony meets alternative hip-hop and soul in the music of self-taught pianist and producer Alfa Mist. His new single is a reworking of Eddie Henderson’s jazz fusion classic “Galaxy,” which originally appeared on the trumpeter’s 1975 Blue Note album Sunburst. The song is the eighth single to be released from Blue Note Re:imagined, a forthcoming collection of Blue Note tracks re-imagined by a selection of the UK scene’s most exciting young talents.
