American jazz drummer Butch Miles presents a musical tribute to the great Gene Krupa, the great swing era drummer who famously elevated the role of the drummer with his solo-ing on the swing classic, "Sing, Sing, Sing". Here, the Butch Miles Sextet approached the music of that era, in particular, Krupa's work as a band leader after leaving Benny Goodman's big band.
