Make Music Matter works in countries that have been deeply scarred by conflict, HIV/AIDS, and violence against women. Music has always helped people around the world to overcome hardship by providing comfort and consolation, and by helping them to directly address the most divisive issues facing their communities. Through our efforts, music also contributes to the prevention of violence and public health issues, and to raising awareness. MMM’s Music Enrichment Program (MEP) engages and educates youth affected by extreme poverty through two primary components: public health education, and music education. Local educators facilitate interactive seminars, using songwriting and other media to teach youth about issues affecting their communities, like conflict, HIV/AIDS, and violence against women. Music created by participants is also used as a tool for health education. With the help of local musicians, MEP songs are professionally recorded, collected, and disseminated back to the local communities through hard copies and over local radio stations as advocacy and prevention tools. Live performances and digital distribution also ensure the MEP’s health messages are accessible, and spread easily. Matokeyo Ya Vita is one such culmination of the work of Make Music Matter, featuring the music of Cohorte Des Indestructibles.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
