The Munich Piano Trio celebrates its 33rd anniversary with this release, inspired by Robert Schumann’s guiding principle: the artist’s mission is to cast light into the depths of the human heart. The highlight of the programme is perhaps Schumann’s most well known Piano Trio No. 2, paired here with the equally wonderful Piano Quartet, on which they are joined by guest violist Tilo Widenmeyer.
