On her 2013 debut solo recording, Czech singer, musician and composer Iva Bittová explores the relationship between the violin and her own voice. The numbered pieces here, modestly titled Fragments, resist definition: idiosyncratic folk music, contemporary composition, improvisation, any and all of these may apply from moment to moment.
