Steppenwolf's debut from early 1968 is a monumental release in rock history: this is the band and the album that introduced the term "heavy metal" into popular culture. The lyric is contained in the iconic hit Born To Be Wild, included on the Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Songs of All Time list at number 129. This album, certified gold in the US, also includes The Pusher, which was featured along with Born To Be Wild in the classic 1969 film Easy Rider.
