Flautist Mika Putterman is accompanied by Jory Vinikour to present Bach at the Mendelssohn's. This exciting programme pairs Mendelssohn's "Violin Sonata in F Minor, Op. 4" with several Bach Sonatas, all transcribed for flute and piano! Known for her beautiful sound and expressive playing, flautist Mika Putterman shares her passion for research and historical knowledge with audiences. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree from McGill University in Montreal, Mika was accepted at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. In 2001, she received her Masters from the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Brussels where she studied with Barthold Kuijken and Marc Hantaï. Recognized as one of the outstanding harpsichordists of his generation, Jory Vinikour has cultivated a highly-diversified career that takes him to the world’s most important festivals, concert halls, and opera houses as recitalist and concerto soloist, partner to many of today’s finest instrumental and vocal artists, coach, and conductor.
