European jazz ensemble the LABtrio blends jazz, hip hop and electronic music into an outstanding listening experience on its sophomore release The Howls Are Not What They Seem. This time out, the core trio is augmented by two special guests from New York City: saxophonist Michaël Attias and cellist Christopher Hoffman, who allow the three young musicians to explore a repertoire enriched by new sonorities. From its inception in 2007, the LABtrio has gone through a dazzling evolution and now, more than ever, represents the new generation of great European jazz talents, creating music that is constantly nourished by current influences without ever betraying the heritage of the past.
