Heima is Feda Trio's first album. Folk music from the vocalist's home region in Vestre Agder and other songs that deepen the longing to be "home" are presented here. The musical expression is sometimes melancholic, sometimes playful and most often both at once. It swings between styles, from wedding march to showtune to hymn. Torhild Larsen Nygård delivers the lyrics with authenticity and purpose. Carl Petter Opsahl excels with his clarinets - both as a melody conductor, mood creator and bassist. Ådne Svalastog harmonizes it all in an exciting and tasteful way, both from the grand piano and from the organ stool. The warm and inviting acoustics in Feda Church have been preserved and refined during the recording and mixing of the album, and this is the very first time that music from the early 19th century has been recorded in the church.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
