Folk-rock duo The Avett Brothers release their cover of Woody Guthrie's timely - and timeless - anthem, "This Land is Your Land.” One of the country’s most famous folk songs, “This Land is Your Land” was penned by Guthrie in 1940 as a response to Irving Berlin’s “God Bless America.” Notably, The Avett’s version includes the song’s rarely-performed fourth verse, “There was a big high wall there that tried to stop me/Sign was painted, it said private property/But on the back side it didn’t say nothing/This land was made for you and me.” The standalone single follows The Avett Brothers’ most recent release, The Third Gleam, which marked the latest edition in their Gleam series.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
