Jack Johnson releases his new single "The Captain Is Drunk", which follows "Don't Let Me Down" from earlier this year. The single is inspired in part by Charles Nordhoff and James Norman Hall‘s Men Against the Sea book trilogy alongside the 2020 election.
“Growing up some of my favorite books were from the ‘Men Against The Sea’ Trilogy. With how divided our country felt leading up to the election, the stories from this series kept popping into my mind. Big decisions on which way to sail in the middle of a storm as people disagree.”
