"... a welcome opportunity for orchestra and audience to focus on one mighty work, here distinguished by Skrowaczewski’s authority and humility, his lust for life and music and the London Philharmonic’s dedicated response: a humbling yet inspiring experience was fashioned."
- ClassicalSource.com

This live recording of Bruckner’s Fifth Symphony is an interpretation of humility from Stanisław Skrowaczewski; a performance that underlines the remarkable connection between conductor and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert, which the 92 year old Skrowaczewski conducted from memory, took place in late October 2015 at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall. Considered one of Bruckner’s grandest of his so-called "cathedrals in sound," the symphony comes to a triumphant orchestral finale, among the finest ever written.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
