"This album is the result of an extraordinary self-development adventure that began when the pianist Aldo Ciccolini offered me to move into his home in Paris and assist him as a personal assistant on international masterclasses. Much of the way I currently play has evolved from this experience, which has profoundly influenced the way I feel and perceive interpretation. In the years that followed, I had the privilege of listening to him every day, trying to discover his secrets, absorbing his suggestions, listening to music with him and commenting on him. And thanks to him I have learned my most important lesson: making music is not narcissism, but full of love and sincerity. That is why my first album could not be anything other than a homage to him, to the intensity and purity of his soul, to his piano art and to the artistic lessons he left me."
