This solo release from Scottish early music master Gordon Ferries spans two centuries of music for kings and courtiers. Playing four different instruments matched to the periods in question, Ferries dances from 16th century France’s humanist courts and the private chambers of Versailles to the decadence and Baroque splendour of Restoration England.
