Paul McCartney has shared another preview of the McCartney III Imagined album of new interpretations of his current album, in the form of a remix of “Slidin’” by Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien. The EOB remix, as it’s called, will be featured on the new set. McCartney III Imagined will also include new mixes and readings of last December’s hugely acclaimed McCartney III album by such artists as Beck, St. Vincent, Damon Albarn, Phoebe Bridgers, and Josh Homme. “I really liked [Slidin’], and so I said to Paul Epworth, would you fancy getting stuck in? He was really up for it. It was great. A moment of light in the darkness of the winter that’s just been. We had a lot of fun. Got into [McCartney’s] vocals and added some chaos, some guitar – my reference point was ‘Helter Skelter,’ ramp up the intensity!” - Ed O'Brien

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
