Digital Booklet
Chicago '78 is a two-disc live album by guitarist, singer, and songwriter Frank Zappa, released in November 2016, consisting of the recording of the entire second concert held on September 29, 1978 at the Uptown Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. When creating the album, co-producer Joe Travers found that there were several gaps in the main concert recording, caused by the changing of tape reels. He was able to capture the entire show by splicing in recordings from two other sources: the main source of ½-inch 4-Track analog tape masters and secondary sources consisting of the ¼-inch 2-Track reel-to-reel analog tape masters & a board cassette!

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
