With a clear, fresh and somewhat sentimental tone, Nicolai Majland Trio possesses their own unique sound, in which the melody has always been the North Star.
Their second album Welcome was written in Sutri, Italy, on summer vacation, and many of the songs evolved from a deep feeling of gratitude and happiness towards life. The old upright piano in the Italian apartment, gave birth to the blueprints of this album in only one week.
“The title Welcome has a few meanings. It’s a welcome to myself, as a comment on the title of my first album 'Leaving and Believing' and it is also a warm welcome to a beautiful little boy.”
