Louisiana Slim is the second album by jazz organist Leon Spencer recorded for the Prestige label in 1971. The album features covers and originals, with a start-studded band consisting of Virgil Jones on trumpet, Grover Washington, Jr. on tenor saxophone, flute, Melvin Sparks on guitar, Idris Muhammad on drums, and Buddy Caldwell on congas! Spencer was also prolific as a sideman, playing keys for Melvin Sparks, Sonny Stitt, Lou Donaldson, David Newman, and many others.
