A Whole New Thing is the twelfth studio album by Billy Preston, released in 1977. It was Preston's final album with A&M Records. "Wide Stride "was released as a single in 1977 and peaked at number 33 on the US R&B chart. There are few stars let alone sidemen in rock’n’roll who can boast a CV to rival that of the late Billy Preston. He played keyboards with The Beatles on the albums Abbey Road (1969) and Let It Be (1970) and on the roof of the Apple Building during their final live performance in 1969. And he was prominently featured in the recording of many albums by the Rolling Stones, from Sticky Fingers (1971) to Bridges To Babylon (1997), as well as playing a starring role in the group’s touring line-up for much of the 1970s.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
