Nostalgia 2 is a very personal album, the tenth in his career for Marc Hervieux, in memory of the past that he offers to the public. Songs are featured in French, English, Italian and Spanish which are part of his most distant musical (and family) memories, which he performs in all humility, without reinventing them.
Marc had an album of this kind in mind for some time, but it was after weeks of forced shutdown at the beginning of last spring that everything became clear in his thinking. Overwhelmed by the nostalgia of his childhood, he imagined listening to his parents' records on the wooden stereo in the living room of the family apartment in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. He then felt good, very good, intoxicated by these songs filled with comfort.
“Nostalgia thrills me so much as I get older. This word, which appeared in the dictionary of the French Academy in 1835, had the definition of Illness caused by a violent desire to return to one's homeland. Well for me, this violent desire is simply to go back in time and relive my childhood through music; those meaningful songs that soothe me and bring me back to sweet moments. Especially in the current context in which we live."
