This compilation includes the formerly out-of-print "first recording" of Ives' The Celestial Country, conducted by Harold Farberman. The soloists featured on The Celestial Country are Hazel Holt (soprano), Alfreda Hodgson (alto), John Elwes (tenor), and John Noble (baritone); Abram in Egypt features Ronald Lewis (baritone) and was conducted by Roger Wagner. All tracks were recorded and mixed by Robert Auger, produced by Carter Harmon.
