American bass Jared Schwartz is accompanied by pianist Mary Dibben on this album devoted to French composer Ange Flégier, best known for the extraordinary reception to his song Le cor, which leads off the programme. The mélodie holds a predominant place in Flégier's catalogue of more than 350 works, several of which receive their first recordings or first modern recordings here.
