Donegan, a protege of the legendary Art Tatum, was primarily known for performing in the stride piano and boogie-woogie style. She worked in Chicago nightclubs and concert halls, remaining in relative obscurity from the time her 1942 recording debut until her performances at the 1987 Montreux Jazz Festival garnered her acclaim as a recording artist.
This pristine high-resolution transfer of Donegan's works comes courtesy of 2xHD's patented Fusion Mastering System, integrating the finest analog, with state-of-the-art digital technology (back to the future technology).
