"... (Elena Urioste is) a drop-dead beauty who plays with equal parts passion, sensuality, brains and humour."
- The Washington Post

"... (Michael Brown is a) young piano visionary ... one of the leading figures in the current renaissance of performer-composers."
- The New York Times

Two of the brightest American stars on the classical scene, both prestigious award winners and longtime duo partners present their debut album together. Violinist Elena Urioste and pianist Michael Brown have been playing live since 2009 and chose works that formed part of their repertoire from the very beginning, resonating throughout their entire musical partnership. All four were written by composers in their 20s or even younger, including a contribution from Brown himself written when he was only 18 years old. The pieces are therefore imbued with an ardour that is unapologetically, deliciously youthful. In addition to Brown's work, the duo offers selections by Ravel, Richard Strauss and Amy Beach, the first American woman to compose and publish a symphony.

What is High-Resolution Audio?

High-resolution audio offers the highest-fidelity available, far surpassing the sound quality of traditional CDs. When you listen to music on a CD or tracks purchased via consumer services such as iTunes, you are hearing a low-resolution version of what was actually recorded and mastered in the studio. ProStudioMasters offers the original studio masters — exactly as the artist, producers and sound engineers mastered them — for download, directly to you.

What do I need for playback?

You may need additional software / hardware to take full advantage of the higher 24-bit high-res audio formats, but any music lover that has heard 16-bit vs 24-bit will tell you it's worth it!
